7. What can I expect from a workshop?
The benefits from one of Gurunath's workshops include the healing of mental and emotional traumas through interdimensional and atemporal energy transmissions called Shaktipat. Those who are receptive will experience the at-one-ness of all beings as well as a calm, still mind, bereft of thoughts, with the attendant feelings of bliss and joy. These experiences will strengthen your resolve to practice the discipline of yoga as taught by Gurunath, or simply to keep doing what you are already doing better.

8. When and where does the next workshop take place?
Experiential workshops are given by Gurunath where you will be graced with spiritual and physical healing, as well as various spiritual experiences. These are primarily held in India, Switzerland, Italy, and the USA. Please check the schedule for the next workshop nearest you. If you would like to recieve schedule information via email, join our email list.

9. What is Sadhana?
Sadhana is spiritual practice. Sadhana is the sequence of mantras, psycho-physical movements, spiritual breathing and meditation techniques given by a Master to students to enable them to achieve Self-realization.

10. Why is Sadhana necessary?
Sadhana is necessary because we have chosen to be in a state of suffering and dark ignorance due to the Karma or effects of our past erroneous thoughts and actions, and a strong antidote is necessary to counter these afflictions of negativity, guilt and fear. No amount of intellectual thinking will bring us out of this nightmarish dream in which we believe our self to be the Self. Only a consistent, progressive, deep and effective series of techniques which previous practitioners have found sufficient to overcome this inertia can lead us to the Light.

11. What is an empowerment?
Gurunath is a Master who in addition to initiating a student into a practice or Sadhana, also jump-starts him/her through the infusion of his spiritual energy. This empowerment helps the student to leap ahead and make rapid progress, far beyond what he/she would be able to do alone. Teachers can initiate and teach in the name of a Master, but only a Master can empower.

12. How do I get empowered?
Gurunath gives regular empowerments during his visits to different Hamsa Yoga Sangh centers. Please check the schedule for future empowerments.

13. How do I connect with my local Hamsa Yoga Sangh Community?
Please email us or contact one of the centers. If you can attend a workshop, Hamsa Yoga Sangh representatives are present to answer your questions.

14. What is a New life Awakening Retreat?
The New life Awakening Retreats are organized to give Hamsa students and those interested to become Hamsa students the unusual opportunity to have an extended experience with Yogiraj Gurunath, one of the very few Himalayan Masters to make regular visits to the West. These are generally 2 to 3 day long events in pastoral and peaceful surroundings where Gurunath can help you get to the next level of spiritual experience and awareness, and accelerate the transformation into Liberated Beings.
